Time & Chance

The culmination of time, chance and energy is not yet fathomed. We are slowly, very slowly learning about the interconnection of energies, particles, micro and macro organisms, cosmic migration, other planets and wave lengths to say the least. What if the universe is an enormous type of brain accumulating thought patterns and storing energies for knowledge. In respect of science could it be that our bodies, souls, spirits other species and nature are tentacles providing enormous vigor for empowerment. Focus and the image says it all.

Ms. Laura Ortiz A.K.A. Lady Sol Y Mar, is extraordinarily talented DJ, athlete, masseuse, dancer, and photographer just to name a few. However, she was not always this active. Since her motorcycle accident in July 2008, Ms. Ortiz was made amputee when her right leg was taken. She has said that due to the accident, "I embrace all of the new opportunities with which I am presented during this second chance at life."
One can only wonder if she had left her home seconds earlier or later on the day of the accident, would she embrace life as much as she does today. Ms. Ortiz currently travels and competes in the 100/200 meters as she works towards earning a slot for the 2012 London Paralympic Games.

There is so much to say about time and chance. Everything around us is created by time and chance. Timing is everything and chance, if you believe in fate or not, makes everything happen. You can force your destination but if it was not for that event of meeting or running into a particular person or incident in your life, your life would be completely different. And that, time and chance, occurs constantly in our lives. Having only one outlook of the known and countless outlooks of the unknowns, I try to capture time and chance photographing from moving vehicles and pretty much snapping my life away, and then every once in a while I capture it.
